My business journey is a true reflection of this statement, and proves how one’s determination can make their dreams come true. I am a certified Finance, Tax and Audit Specialist, and an Expert in the field of financial management and consultation. Additionally, I also serve as the Chairman of the Tax Committee at the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Peshawar wherein I serve as a liaison between the Tax Department and the Women Entrepreneurs; provide awareness pertaining to tax records, laws and tax returns; and manage the audit and forensic accounting of the department amongst other duties.
Apart from serving in all these capacities, I take immense pride in the fact that I run my own enterprise titled, ‘Ain Consulting Private Ltd’ that provides services related to fraud management, tax, audit and forensic accounting. It also provides training and proven strategies related to white collar financial crimes to businesses and organizations. Additionally, since 2012, I have been managing my 8-digit e-commerce store online that deals in shoes, bags, clothes and accessories.
Ain Consulting Private Ltd. is my labor of love, and I have nurtured it lovingly for the past one year since its inception, and am committed to take it to soaring heights of success in the years to come. It has proven to be a ray of hope for scores of businesses by providing them with training and education on Tax, Financial statements, Business Registration, Finance and Risk Management. Businesses that once struggled to stay afloat in the industry are now flourishing because they now have a strong foundation courtesy of financial literacy offered by my company.
My business and I now stand strong, and have built a mark for ourselves, but this journey wasn’t one devoid of any struggles. Like any SME trying to build a name for itself, my company too faced certain challenges which I deflected and combatted very successfully. Venturing into a male dominant industry of finance and accounting wasn’t a straightforward task; I did face some resistance. Convincing people of my mettle was synonymous to climbing high , but once we start solving the puzzles , they wouldn’t dare hire anyone else’s services. Being skilled in my work, I was eventually able to win over my clients’ trust.
Apart from successfully persuading people that a woman too can be knowledgeable in finance and accounting, I also had to talk people into understanding the significance of developing their business books, reports and accounts, and investing in the finance and accounting related aspects of their companies from the beginning. Unfortunately, many businesses ignore this area which also explains their inability to imbed their roots in the industry to stand tall.
Startups often struggle with acquiring funding from investors primarily because they are short of structured books to show their history, track their performance and present their financial projections. I came across many such startups in the beginning too, and it was definitely an uphill task convincing them to pay attention to setting up their books, and financial side. The good news is every time a startup or even a conglomerate paid heed to the guidance offered by Ain Consulting, they only achieved the desired results; many times, their productivity was even better than what they envisaged.
I cannot help, but feel blessed for living up to the expectations of my parents, mentors and all the teachers I have had in my life. Struggles still come glaring my way, but I am a firm believer of the fact that skill, hard work and resilience always takes one a long way forward. I am all geared up to grow my business to an even bigger level in the years to come, not just for my personal sense of fulfillment, but also because we are helping many businesses sail successfully, and skyrocket their growth.
