US provides 36 trucks to the health department to improve service

Donald Blome, the US ambassador to Pakistan, presented the 36 vehicles to Taimur Khan Jhagra, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health minister, on Thursday and stated that the initiative would enhance the provision of primary and secondary health care as well as coronavirus detection and vaccination through better surveillance and monitoring.

Pakistan Recognizes Seven Cities With Poliovirus Presence

Four cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been reported to have cases of the poliovirus, according to the authorities. Peshawar, Bannu, Nowshera, and Swat sewage samples were collected for the test. Sewage samples from Islamabad and Rawalpindi have also contained polio. Additionally, 13 confirmed cases of polio in North Waziristan and one in Laki Marwat have been recorded by federal authorities.
