The price of one-tola gold touched an all-time high of Rs149,500 in the local market on Tuesday.
According to the Pakistan Jewellers Manufacturers Association (APJMA), the per tola gold price increased by Rs1,200 to Rs149,500, reaching an all-time high.
Similarly, the price of a 10 grams of gold has increased by Rs1,029 to Rs128,172.
Gold was up 1% in the international market, trading at $1,712.61 per ounce.
The US dollar reached an all-time high versus the rupee in interbank trading on Tuesday, as political unrest in Pakistan persisted.
