Recently, a famous American Congressman said, “We campaign in poetry and we deliver in prose”. This is the confession by a political leader of the world’s most powerful country on earth. Now it’s not really difficult to understand the political material of our beloved country. Almost all the political leaders lie during election campaigns when they say that they can change Pakistan within five years. Their common promises are jobs, poverty eradication, better health, and education facilities, fighting corruption, housing for the poor, paying off debt, inflation control, increasing tax net, and much much more. They think they can achieve all of the targets by merely implementing the policies. Unfortunately, it is not the case.
It’s a nation-building process. And nations are not built in years. It takes decades. The best of the best person in the entire human history is our Prophet (PBUH). It took him twenty-three years to build a nation. Now think about Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, and Imran Khan!
First, they all should stop lying to the nation. No one has the courage to speak the truth and tell that it is a very long process. It’s not a matter of three or five years. It requires at least fifteen or twenty years’ plan of action. Secondly, a healthy population is a prerequisite for economic development.
Like many other nations in the world, entrepreneurship is the only method for socioeconomic growth. Entrepreneurs create businesses, businesses create jobs and people with jobs provide for their families. Entrepreneurship is the spark of prosperity. It helps citizens to stand up for their rights and push back against corruption. Entrepreneurship offers a positive alternative to the ideologies of violence and division. Entrepreneurship brings down barriers between communities and cultures and builds bridges that help us take on common challenges together. It is the only way to build a nation in this era.
