A new private airline, Fly Jinnah — which is the cheapest means of air transport in the country — was inaugurated as it launched its flight operations in the country from Karachi.
A joint venture between Fly Jinnah and the international carrier Air Arabia successfully completed its initial trip from Karachi to Islamabad.
A private hotel in Karachi hosted the opening ceremony. Fly Jinnah is a low-cost carrier, according to Arman Yahya, the airline’s chief operating officer. He declared that the airline would maintain low operational costs, benefiting the general population by resulting in affordable fares.
“The support Air Arabia has given us is basically in the training area and their assistance is always with us,” Yahya said at the ceremony.
Three Airbus A-320 aircraft make up Fly Jinnah’s fleet, one of which—AP-BOP—was utilized on the inaugural trip. The same plane will return the visitors from Islamabad to Karachi.
On the inaugural flight from Karachi to Islamabad, passengers included former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Fly Jinnah chairman Iqbal Lakhani, Air Arabia COE Adil Al Ali, senator Saleem Mandviwala, members of show business, and travel brokers.
