The CM has launched a tree planting campaign

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan launched the monsoon tree planting campaign on Monday by planting an avocado sapling on the lawn of the Chief Minister’s House.

Ishtiaq Urmar, Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Kamran Khan Bangash, Faisal Amin Gandapur, and other provincial ministers were present. During the campaign, 37.5 million saplings will be planted across the province, according to the chief minister.

He was informed that 19.6 million seedlings, including newly merged districts, would be planted in the central southern region I, and 8.9 million saplings would be planted in the northern forest region II.

In Malakand Forest Region III, up to 9 million saplings would be planted. The Forest Department, civil society organisations, educational institutions, industries, government departments, and other public and private organisations, he was told, would participate in the plantation drive.

According to the chief minister, forest preservation is our collective responsibility. He also stated that the government was working to increase forest cover. According to Mahmood Khan, the importance of forests in overcoming the challenges posed by environmental pollution has greatly increased.
