TikTok’s feature allows creators to share their stories on Facebook and Instagram

TikTok, the popular video-sharing platform, has added a new feature that allows content creators to share their stories on Meta’s social platforms, Facebook and Instagram.

The feature has been in testing since last year, but it will now be made available to rival social networks.

It may increase TikTok’s visibility on Meta’s platforms, as the company works tirelessly to beat and outrank TikTok’s videos in Reels.

TikTok content creators will no longer need to post their content on Reels to reach their audience on Meta platforms, but can instead share it directly through the TikTok app.

The same interface that allowed TikTok users to share their Stories with friends by tapping on their profile picture will now allow them to share it on Instagram and Facebook, with an additional option displaying popular social media apps on which the Story could be shared.

Watchful.ai provided the interface images, which TikTok confirmed.

According to TechCrunch, the company has not confirmed when the feature will be available to users worldwide, and TikTok Stories is still being tested globally.
